About Association NORA
Association NORA – Non-Governmental Organization for Rheumatism and Arthritis is an independent nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life for people living with rheumatic diseases, arthritis, and related musculoskeletal conditions throughout North Macedonia.
Founded on the principles of compassion, equality, and community engagement, our organization works tirelessly to support patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals by providing educational resources, awareness campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and opportunities for peer support.
Living with chronic rheumatic conditions presents many physical, emotional, and social challenges. Our organization believes that no one should face these challenges alone. We provide reliable information, organize educational events, encourage healthy lifestyles, and advocate for better healthcare services and patient rights.
Our activities bring together medical experts, volunteers, community leaders, patients, and partner organizations to create lasting positive change. Through collaboration, innovation, and continuous education, we aim to improve disease awareness, promote early diagnosis, encourage effective treatment, and reduce stigma surrounding chronic illnesses.
We also support initiatives focused on research, prevention, rehabilitation, mental well-being, and social inclusion. By building strong partnerships with healthcare institutions, universities, public organizations, and international nonprofit networks, we seek to strengthen healthcare outcomes and improve opportunities for individuals living with rheumatic diseases.
Association NORA believes that education, empathy, and cooperation are the foundations of healthier communities. Every project we undertake is designed to empower patients, strengthen families, and inspire communities to create a future where everyone has access to knowledge, support, and quality healthcare regardless of age, background, or financial circumstances.
Today, our organization continues to expand its impact through innovative programs, volunteer engagement, public education campaigns, and collaborative partnerships that help improve the lives of thousands of people affected by rheumatic and arthritic conditions.
